I don’t normally leave reviews, but the Fitjar Island products are just so good that I felt I must let others know!
Normally I use Castle Forbes, Geo F. Trumpter and TOBS and decided to give this a try.
WOW, glad I did……lathers up so easy in a bowl, goes on smoothly, fresh smelling and a super smooth shave!
I live in the Canary Islands where we have summer all year around and ALL of the Fitjar Islands products work perfectly here for me……a fresh and natural feel/ smell and a comfy, relaxing shave!
Matched up with the Moisturiser or Cooling Gel is amazing!
So good, that I now own all of the different shaving range to mix my days around.
Thank you for such a great set of products for us wet shavers,
“Goodbye” to most of my other shaving products!

I love that the scent all come from essential oils – no fragrance like other creams. I think it’s crazy that no more companies offer creams with essential oils like yourselves.

The Slåtterøy fragrance has in some cases been known to cause wanderlust. Only give this as a gift if you are prepared to travel with them (or want to inspire them to go off on an adventure).

Tempting as it may be to massage the luscious lather all over your face, keep it away from the eye area. Eating it will not make you a more dashing explorer, so let’s reserve it for external use only.

I use the stubble softener and cold water to start with. I worked out a process that kind of works for me: I smear the cream on each cheek and the neck. Then, I face lather (I’m not a bowl latherer, too time-consuming) with a cold damp brush (no water left in brush) for 30 seconds. This makes a thick cream to which I add a few drops of water on the brush and lather for another 30 seconds to make it slicker and suitable for shaving. I find that more drops after this makes the lather too runny. I experienced that I needed to use a lot of cream to achieve the volume of lather that I would get compared to other creams. So one day I was cleaning my brush after shaving and pushed out the brush to rinse it… And I discovered that there was lots of lather left!! That’s when I knew my brush was hogging my Fitjar lather. My 30cm synthetic brush is hogging your lather because it is so thick, so I squeeze the brush a bit and lovely thick lather comes out for applying on my face! I found, that the cushioning is great as a result.

Best wishes
