Slåtterøy

A WHIFF OF ABROAD

A Nordic take on a traditional bay rum fragrance. Warm woody spices and bright notes of light citrus. Awakening memories of the times when Norwegian seafarers came home from abroad with mysterious gifts. Slåtterøy is the name of a lighthouse just west of Fitjar. We can see the beams of light from the lighthouse sweeping across the night sky, two sweeps every 30 seconds. Fitjar has a long tradition of seafarers, and many youngsters set out to sea at an early age being away for years before coming back home. Upon their return, they brought gifts: soaps, aftershave, perfume, among other things. Many still remember the thrill of the gifts from afar, the whiff of overseas, kindling a sense of wanderlust and adventure.
